CDPH Lead Sampling Technician (Initial 8 hour Course)

This 1-day course meets CDPH Sampling Technician Initial​ requirements for individuals collecting lead samples under the supervision of a certified Inspector/Assessor. It focuses on field competency in collecting environmental samples safely and accurately.

Course content includes:

• Overview of lead sampling protocols (paint, dust, soil, air)
• Proper documentation and chain-of-custody procedures
• Use of field equipment, sampling containers, and labeling
• Hands-on demonstration of HUD/CDPH sample collection methods

Sampling Technicians are limited to field collection and may not interpret data or prepare final reports.

No prerequisites required.
