This 4-hour Cal-OSHA-accredited Asbestos Management Planner (AMP) refresher course fulfills the annual AHERA renewal requirement for professionals maintaining their AMP certification in California. In addition, it meets the continuing education standards set by Cal-OSHA for Certified Asbestos Consultants (CACs) who need to stay compliant with evolving regulatory expectations. Designed to strengthen both technical knowledge and practical readiness, this refresher provides a comprehensive update on current asbestos safety regulations, documentation standards, and response planning strategies.

The course includes:

• Updates to EPA, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA asbestos regulations and guidance
• Review of asbestos hazard assessment and response strategies
• Reassessment of building survey data and material prioritization
• Operations & Maintenance (O&M) plan development and compliance
• Legal liabilities, documentation standards, and recordkeeping updates
• Real-world case studies and practical response planning scenarios

The afternoon portion of the course focuses specifically on management planning. Students with only a Building Inspector certification may attend the morning 4-hour session to fulfill that refresher requirement.

Prerequisites: Valid AHERA Building Inspector & AMP certifications (or within one year of expiration)
Full attendance is required to receive a Cal-OSHA Refresher certificate.
