EPA Renovator, Repair and Painting Refresher

This 4-hour EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Refresher course is required every five years to maintain your EPA Certified Renovator certification. The course must be completed before your current certification expires. If your certification has expired, you are required to take the full 8-hour EPA RRP Initial course.

This refresher training reviews the EPA Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (40 CFR Part 745) and reinforces the lead-safe work practices required when disturbing painted surfaces in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities.

Topics covered include:

• Overview of the EPA RRP Rule and regulatory updates
• Lead-safe work practices and containment procedures
• Personal protective measures and dust control methods
• Cleaning verification and proper work area clearance
• Required documentation and recordkeeping procedures
• Responsibilities of the Certified Renovator

This course is intended for contractors, remodelers, painters, property managers, maintenance personnel, and other professionals who perform renovation, repair, or painting activities that disturb lead-based paint.

Upon successful completion of the course and examination, students will receive documentation required to maintain their EPA Certified Renovator status.
