Description
The lead inspection and lead-related construction fields change rapidly. This course allows certified Lead Inspector/Assessors, Supervisors, Project Monitors, and Sampling Technicians to stay up-to-date on:
- changing regulations
- state of the art work practices
- inspection and removal equipment
- trends in the lead industry
Passing this course meets the seven-hour California Department of Public Health continuing education requirements for all CDPH-certified individuals seeking to maintain their certification as:
- Inspector/Assessors
- Supervisors
- Project Monitors
- Sampling Technicians
Maintaining these certifications requires that you take a refresher course like this every 2 years. (Instructors in CDPH lead classes must take this course every year.) One seven-hour continuing education course is good for any number of California lead certifications (except Worker) that you wish to maintain.
This course also is necessary for Individuals who want to apply for CDPH certification but completed their initial CDPH-approved lead training between one and three years ago (this “refresher†course must be completed no more than one year before you apply for CDPH certification).
To meet CDPH requirements, make sure you are scheduling this course:
- Within 2 years of the date of your last Lead CEG course, or within 3 years of the date of your initial Lead-Related Construction certification course
- Prior to the expiration date on your current CDPH certification (you may use the same Lead CEG course for 2 consecutive years of CDPH certification renewals)
- Sufficiently in advance of your certification expiration date to allow for CDPH processing time (online processing time has now been reduced to within a few weeks)
