CDPH Lead Worker Initial Certification training in Concord, CA Parra Environmental Bay AreaThis 3-day CDPH-accredited course fulfills California Title 17 requirements for individuals seeking Lead Abatement Worker certification and T8 CCR 1532.1(l)(3), those who perform lead-related construction in Public and Residential buildings and are exposed above 50 ug/m3.. It provides foundational training to safely perform lead-related construction and abatement activities under a certified supervisor.

Course content includes:

  • Health effects of lead exposure and relevant exposure limits
  • lead standards, HUD Guidelines and CDPH Title 17 regulatory overview
  • Lead-safe work practices, including PPE, decontamination, and hygiene
  • Use of HEPA vacuums, chemical stripping agents, and surface preparation
  • Hands-on training in containment setup, air sampling, and cleanup techniques

The course is required for all field workers involved in lead hazard remediation. Final exam required.

No prerequisites required.
Full attendance is required to renew the CDPH LWI certificate.
