CDPH Sampling Technician (Initial – 8 Hours)​

This 1-day course meets CDPH Sampling Technician Initial Certification training in Concord, CA Parra Environmental Bay Area CDPH Sampling Technician Initial​ requirements for individuals collecting lead samples under the supervision of a certified Inspector/Assessor. It focuses on field competency in collecting environmental samples safely and accurately.

Course content includes:

  • Overview of lead sampling protocols (paint, dust, soil, air)
  • Proper documentation and chain-of-custody procedures
  • Use of field equipment, sampling containers, and labeling
  • Hands-on demonstration of HUD/CDPH sample collection methods

Sampling Technicians are limited to field collection and may not interpret data or prepare final reports.

No prerequisites required.
Full attendance is required to receive the CDPH Sampling Technician certification.
