CAL-OSHA/DOSH AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector Refresher

This 4-hour Cal-OSHA accredited course fulfills the annual refresher requirement for maintaining AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector certification. It also satisfies part of the continuing education requirement for Cal-OSHA Certified Site Surveillance Technicians (CSST).

This course provides a focused review of:

• EPA, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA regulations relevant to asbestos inspection
• Sampling techniques and material classification protocols
• Health effects, liability concerns, and insurance issues
• AHERA-compliant inspection, documentation, and reporting standards
• Common ACM locations and approaches to detecting concealed materials
• Legislative and regulatory updates affecting field practices

Interactive discussion and case-based examples reinforce real-world application of current requirements.
 Note: Individuals certified as both Building Inspectors and Management Planners should enroll in the combined 8-hour Refresher course.

Prerequisite: Valid AHERA Building Inspector certification (or within one year of expiration).
Full attendance is required to receive a Cal-OSHA Refresher certificate.
