AHERA Building Inspector Initial Training Required Certification for Conducting Asbestos Inspections
This 24-hour AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector (ABI) Initial Certification course fulfills both federal EPA and Cal‑OSHA requirements for individuals seeking to inspect buildings for asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). It is also a required component for those pursuing credentials as Cal‑OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultants (CACs) or Site Surveillance Technicians (CSSTs). Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, participants will learn how to locate, sample, and document suspect asbestos materials in schools, public buildings, and commercial facilities.
