Description
Adding this 16-hour course to the 3-day Building Inspection (pre-requisite) course allows you to receive AHERA Management Planning accreditation and is one of the Cal-OSHA requirements for Certified Asbestos Consultants. Passing this class qualifies you to develop asbestos management plans for schools and other public buildings.
You become proficient in the critical federal and California regulations that affect asbestos work practices and building occupant notifications. With the aid of certified asbestos consultants with extensive real-world experience, you learn how to evaluate materials assessments and create operations and maintenance programs for the management of asbestos in place and the eventual removal of asbestos-containing materials.
An annual 4-hour refresher course (half of an 8-hour Building Inspector/Management Planner refresher) is required to maintain your AHERA accreditation and California asbestos certification.
