CAL-OSHA/DOSH AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector Refresher (4 Hours) Annual Update Required for Certified Building Inspectors This 4-hour Cal-OSHA accredited course fulfills the annual refresher requirement for maintaining AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector certification. It also satisfies part of the continuing education requirement for Cal-OSHA Certified Site Surveillance Technicians (CSST). This course provides a focused review of: EPA, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA regulations relevant to asbestos inspection Sampling techniques and material classification protocols Health effects, liability concerns, and insurance issues AHERA-compliant inspection, documentation, and reporting standards Common ACM locations and approaches to detecting concealed materials Legislative and regulatory updates affecting field practices Interactive discussion and case-based examples reinforce real-world application of current requirements. Note: Individuals certified as both Building Inspectors and Management Planners should enroll in the combined 8-hour Refresher course.
