Required Annual Re-Certification for Certified Supervisors, Consultants, and CSSTs
This 8-hour Cal-OSHA-accredited course fulfills the annual AHERA refresher requirement for maintaining Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor certification. It also satisfies one of the continuing education requirements for Certified Asbestos Consultants (CAC) and Site Surveillance Technicians (CSST) in California.
The course provides a focused review of the original 40-hour training and delivers critical updates on:
- Federal and California asbestos regulations (EPA, OSHA, Cal-OSHA)
- New legislation, compliance requirements, and industry standards
- Respiratory protection, safety procedures, and PPE
- Emerging tools, materials, and abatement techniques
- Practical guidance for supervising asbestos projects
- Liability, documentation, and enforcement considerations
Real-world case studies and student-specific scenarios are incorporated to reinforce applied learning and problem-solving in the field, along with interactive-participatory training methods.
Prerequisite: Valid AHERA Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor certification (or within one year of expiration).
Full attendance is required to receive a Cal-OSHA-approved refresher certificate.
